Does This Chocolate Make Me Look Fat??
by professorchocolate on Aug.12, 2011, under Nutrition

One of the most popular questions that we get when giving a chocolate tour is “Will we walk off these calories?”
We think that chocolate has gotten a bad reputation because of its fat and sugar content. The thing is, a high percentage of the fat found in chocolate is very similar to the healthy fat found in olive oil! And as far as sugar goes, the darker he chocolate, the less sugar it contains. As far as calories are concerned, here is a handy counter to help you see how effective a little choco-walking can be…

Whenever we tour, we usually try to eat one piece of chocolate per location. This doesn’t exactly work out all the time, but we at least make an attempt. One way that we justify the obscene amounts of chocolate that we actually eat, is that chocolate (cacao actually) has one of the highest antioxidant profiles of any food.
